In the meantime, many of you are asking, “what can we do?” We wrote the answer to that question in the Declaration of Independence. You just seem afraid to say it out loud and your fear shows me how far you have sunk into the despair of tyranny.

How many of us have asked this question? What do we do?

This Rusticus has finally said what we have all been thinking all along.

Finally a person has said what must be said. And what must be thought about. It is an important article. We must decide how much we will put up with and what to do.

Please. Folks think. What are we going to do?

Will we let our country go to the trash bin of history? Or will we stand.

Our call. Lets make the right one.

Agreed.

But sometimes its not the majority that writes the law. It can be a force full minority that brings change.

We are not a democracy where the majority can rule by tyranny.

We are a Republic of laws.

It may be time to cut of the spigot.

from the link...

“This site does NOT promote the violent overthrow of our government but seeks to find ways to restore our Republic to its former glory.”

List the grievances (1 of many)

He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.

Many examples from just 1 of the grievances…

Here are 2 in particular from the many examples from just 1 of the grievances

We were warned (internally)…1784-1796...

6. But the grand nostrum will be a public debt…

7. It must not be forgotten that the members of the legislative body are to have a deep stake in the game. This is an essential point, and happily is attended with no difficulty. A sufficient number, properly disposed, can alternately legislate and speculate, and speculate and legislate, and buy and sell, and sell and buy, until a due portion of the property of their constituents has passed into their hands to give them an interest against their constituents, and to ensure the part they are to act.

8. The ways in which a great debt, so constituted and applied, will contribute to the ultimate end in view are both numerous and obvious. (1) The favorite few, thus possessed of it, whether within or without the government, will feel the staunchest fealty to it, and will go through thick and thin to support it in all its oppressions and usurpations. (2) Their money will give them consequence and influence, even among those who have been tricked out of it.

9. The management of a great funded debt and a extensive system of taxes will afford a plea, not to be neglected, for establishment of a great incorporated bank. the use of such a machine is well understood. If the Constitution, according to its fair meaning, should not authorize it, so much the better. Push it through by a forced meaning and you will get in the bargain an admirable precedent for future misconstructions.

11. As soon as sufficient progress in the intended change shall have been made, and the public mind duly prepared according to the rules already laid down, it will be proper to venture on another and a bolder step toward a removal of the constitutional landmarks.

What do we do?

Well I blogged on that question at length in back in January.

The short and skinny is, we simply refuse to comply with tyranny. We do not subject ourselves to it, we defy it, we withdraw our consent to be governed by it.

Then, the Beast will come. They will do as all tyrants do - punish us via economic means, then privation, starvation and then - they will come to impose their will by force. And, following the blueprint already set for us - we resist by every and all means at our disposal.

Lives, fortunes and sacred honor - remember? Those requirements for liberty are calling again. We have a duty, unless evils are sufferable and preferred.

The only question is whether or not there are enough of our people willing to pay that price?

I have my doubts.

But the process to resist tyranny is a biblical duty. Because to submit to tyranny is to break the First Commandment, no matter how clever the arguments are by the Beast to twist the scriptures to demand your allegiance.

“I had hopes that my fellow citizens in the several States would have already taken care to neutralize the power of the federal government as we had planned and provided for in the Constitution. This, unfortunately, has not occurred. Thus my return.”

And it won’t occur any time soon. People have an incredible capacity for suffering before they rise up and say they’ve had enough.

Look at the hellholes around the world - Venezuela, N. Korea, Cuba, Zimbabwe, Argentina, Iran, and on and on. See any stirring of a revolution?

The only uprisings I see are by the muslims, and they’re going on everywhere including Europe and America. And what animates them is not a reaction to suffering but a conviction of their beliefs. Something we in the west sorely lack. The spirit of 1776 is nowhere to be seen.

The prevailing culture today in the west, especially in the US, is not freedom but a “depraved taste for equality”, i.e. envy. Probably the most corrosive and destructive cultural force there is, just as de Tocqueville so eloquently noted...

“... one also finds in the human heart a depraved taste for equality, which impels the weak to want to bring the strong down to their level, and which reduces men to preferring equality in servitude to inequality in freedom.”

Yes, the founders wanted to leave Britain, and yes, we have far more cause now to revolt than those founders themselves.

The other perspective is that this nation’s founders revolted against Britain for far, far less than the unrestrained tyranny that we endure now, despite the fact we have the expectation of a constrained government and guaranteed rights under the Constitution, which those founders themselves did not have.

And yet despite our expectation of a restrained government, and guarantee of individual unalienable rights by the Constitution, we still do nothing. Actually many of us are doing less-than-nothing in pursuing false negative beliefs, such as the sovereign citizen movement, or the groups promoting the falsehood of the “common law grand jury”. These groups are actually promoting greater ignorance, and alienating people from our common cause.

Then there are groups that are pursuing entirely ineffective responses to our plight, such as the Tea Parties themselves, whose best representation of the Constitution is only the subjective “less taxes” and “smaller government”, which implies that bigger government and slightly more taxes is a reasonable perspective as well. The more recent approach of these Tea Parties is to focus locally and “vote harder”, as inherently supporting the that our unalienable rights might be subject to populist vote, and we may be a democracy.

These are not solutions, much less even valid responses. There may indeed be only one valid response at this point.

“When liberty is taken away by force it can be restored by force. When it is relinquished voluntarily by default it can never be recovered. “
~ Dorothy Thompson

That is it, you hit them in the pocket book and if everyone did it they would have to start it.

Do not pay the tax.

Use the barter system, pay cash where possible and skip the tax where possible. Ask for that 8-10% discount if you pay cash.

Trade goods where possible. There may be a person out there wanting what you have and vice a versa. Trade it. Do not pay the tax.

Setup your own still if you like spirits. Easy to do and you can cook it on your stove. Same for beer, brew it. Do not pay the tax.

Lastly, learn how to frickin cook. Yeah, more people spend their hard earned money throwing it down the drain eating out. Pack a lunch cooked at home. This money saved in tax revenue alone will bring big brother down.

Last but not least, brothers and sisters get ready for a revolution because it is coming. These cretins in DC have stomped on us enough.

They have taken what is ours for way to long without our consent.

They have used what they have taken to pad their lifestyle of corruption and immorality without our consent.

NOW it is time to take our country back from these thieves and tyrants

Exactly. This is why I’ve always stated that it begins with your neighbors, friends, family & coworkers.

However, as I have seen my State devolve into suckling at the Federal teat, working to shut off the spigot of deficit dollars should be a balanced priority.

That ‘red-ink’ influence must be removed and should be THE priority of our DC representatives (yes, I realize that is a tall order, given the corruption...but fiscal Conservatism must be a drumbeat that either leads to success on our part, or political career failure on theirs).

God does not always require such a price. Remember that God was going to drive the Canaanites out of the land of Israel Himself, before the disobedience of the generation that Moses led out of Egypt occurred.

And the throne of Britain was not disestablished by the actions of the Founding Fathers, which to me (and perhaps others) mirrors the time when the ten tribes of Israel broke away from King Rehoboam—over taxes, too.

In light of my last post, I am certainly aware of where the Declaration of Independence says that it is the “right of the People to alter or abolish” a “government (that has become) destructive of (the) ends” of protecting the rights of said People. Again, this can only be done with the protection of God.

The Founders also had to organize, even in secret, in order to achieve their ends. The Sons Of Liberty was no ad hoc organization.

The situation with all the abortion in this country is a bit too reminiscent of the child sacrifice that plagued both Israel and Judah too. In both cases, that and other sins resulted in captivity.
