Nationally syndicated conservative columnist Michelle Malkin, founder of the website Twitchy, tells Breitbart News that Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walkera potential 2016 GOP presidential candidateneeds to be vetted. She also says Walkers problems run much deeper than the decision to HIREthen quickly let go ofpro-amnesty communications aide Liz Mair, who had taken shots at Iowa.
Scott Walker has much bigger problems than the ill-considered HIRING and firing of one D.C. operative, Malkin said in an email.
What does he really stand for and is he fully equipped to bear the slings and arrows of his enemies on a national and global scale? Yes, he fought Big Labor and has managed his state well. But grass-roots activists in his state have long been warning me of his ideological gymnastics on core issues: immigration and education.
He has been on the same side as the progressive Left and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Right: pro-amnesty, pro-massive legal immigration expansionist, and pro-Common Core. Hes been left, right, center, and all over the map.
She added that Washington-based GOP establishment forces are good at backing up establishment politicians, as they seemed to have tried to do to defend Walker and Mair.

"Ultra-conservatives are looking for the ideal candidate. Truth is, they do not exist.
Every potential candidate has some particular stance that is not going to please everyone, Cruz has little executive experience, Walker, plenty.
While Cruz has talked a good game, he hasn't garnered the support in the Senate to solidify any leadership role there. Walker not only said what he was going to do in WI. He did it against all odds.
Walker has taken on the GOPe and the Liberals and beat them at every turn. Now, the GOPe is looking for the Kryptonite to stop Walker before he gets the full conservative base behind him, and the GOPe doesn't get their man in place.
Walker is not perfect, and he has a lot to learn about the crucible he is about to be thrust into, but anyone who can run a blue state like WI, make a significant turnaround, take the heat he has from all sides at the national level and come out smelling like a rose, is going to get my vote.
Remember, Ronaldus Maximus ran a liberal California to prosperity in spite of the GOPe not wanting him as the nominee, but the people, real conservatives, put him in the WH."
Read it, not impressed with the palace intrigue claptrap dealing primarily with some operative the Walker people hired and quickly fired.
What you have here is a blog[ger] regurgitating the bleatings of other bloggers. It’s what they do.
The guy the left is beating on is Scot Walker. They don’t do it idly.
When did Michelle Malkin become GOPe? No one is more anti-gun than Michelle Malkin. More on point, why would Walker employ a really nasty, hard core anti conservative like Liz Mair?
Yes, we need to vet Walker as well as any other candidate for any office. Vet them that we might know them, not just to destroy them, I am surprised at this call coming in such a framework from M.Malkin, though. No specifics, just innuendo; not like her.
Then it's on to the next one, until the only one left is unelectable on his own and another John McCain gets nominated. Amazingly, a number of the members of the circular firing squad can even be found on Free Republic.
How about I just send you another bag of sand, Junior.
There are some empty areas between your ears that could use filling.
And you can take that copy of your “best seller” and stuff it in there, also.
CORRECTION :Should read “no one is more anti-GOPe than Michelle Malkin.
Bush is pretty much squeaky clean. Appallingly bad policy stances but background wise he is strong.
Walker is not so strong, in fact it wouldnt take much to push him over into being a three ring circus. You’ve got a string of indicted aides, a very thin resume, ideas that didn’t perform, as well as true horrors in his administration’s handling of a mental health facility. Sort of a reverse eugenics project involving violent offenders if I remember rightly.
Bush would look pretty good to a party waking up after a one night stand with THAT don’t you think? If that weren’t enough to convince the party they could go through the Rubio train-wreck-in-waiting, Bush is a patient guy.
Michelle’s popularity has been dropping.
Oh, yeah - he's black (pass).
The liberals did not elevate Scott Walker. It was a combination of his Iowa speech, his CPAC speech, the good exposure he had on DRUDGE and on Rush etc
Excellent points.
Comparing Walker to that flip-flopper Reagan (/s) should give some Walker detractors pause.
Who were Newt and Santorum ringers FOR? Or Huckabee?
I don’t recall there being a particularly strong, unique Republican in the race in ‘12 that they’d have been harming by running, Who was the “Cruz’ of 2012? Or 2008 for that matter?
I can’t imagine too many skeletons in his closet after his recall attempt, you would think the unions have gone over him with a fine tooth comb already to get him removed.
Obama floated along on other-people’s-money that wasn’t going to get withdrawn leaving him flat (because he played ball and gave them everything they wanted).
Walker is floating along on other-people’s-money and will either be called upon to do the same OR the money will be withdrawn and he will have to get by on his own very doubtful resources.
Post turtles are good for one thing, screwing the country through a proxy.
