Firefox is unacceptable because of what was done to Brandon Eich.

Thanks for posting, sorry about the INGRATES here. Being in Houston, I like to read our local rag, but it jams the hell out of my computer.
This solved it!

Im not the one who said Firefox is secure by default. I just posted the article.
I was just responding to the italicized quote.

You could also just open the inspector in your browser and run the following command in the console: clearInterval(timer)
Note that if you refresh or load the page later you’ll need to run the command again.
drudge has his page set to refresh every two minutes, which is pretty ridiculous.

Does anyone know why Drudge feels the need to reload his site so often?

Drudge does it so he can lie to adverisers and tell them he gets more hits to his page so he can charge higher advertising rates.

Thanks, I have NoScript, but it’s a pain in the ass to keep switching it on and off—some things need java to work and this approach seems better. Sweet...

Matt should at least double the time between refreshing. His stuff don’t change that fast.

Opera has something like YesScript built into the browser.

A lot of the malware out there is browser specific. Which why I use Opera. Opera is not as popular as IE, Firefox or Chrome so hackers don’t write stuff to target it. It’s not quite as user friendly but it get the job done.

Thanks for the suggestion, Drudge Report loads almost instantly now! I will now try it out with some of the news sites.
To: grundle
Yes Script is not compatible with the latest version of firefox.
