Brazil “an operational hub for Iran and Islamic Terrorism”

And Peru and Venezuela are part of “the intricate network set up to ‘export Iran’s Islamic Revolution’ to the West,” while Argentina is apparently an active participant.

Testimony from journalists and government officials suggest that in addition to describing Argentine President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner’s hand in protecting the perpetrators of a 1994 Buenos Aires terrorist attack, Nisman was also working to blow the lid off the workings of Iran’s terrorist organization in Latin America.

Nisman’s decade of work on the subject pointed to Iran.

And according to the testimonies, it appears Nisman was working to blow the lid off the entire workings of Iran’s terrorist organization in Latin America.

... Brazilian investigative journalist Leonardo Coutinho walked members of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs through the findings of his years of work looking into Iran’s penetration of Brazil.

In a statement titled “Brazil as an operational hub for Iran and Islamic Terrorism,” Coutinho discusses not only his findings while working for Brazil’s Veja magazine, but also Nisman’s tireless work.

“Official investigations carried out by Argentine, American, and Brazilian authorities have revealed how Brazil figures into the intricate network set up to ‘export Iran’s Islamic Revolution’ to the West, by both establishing legitimacy and regional support while simultaneously organizing and planning terrorist attacks,” Coutinho said

... according to reports, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, who died in 2013, had allegedly ensured that Iranian and Hezbollah agents were furnished with passports and flights that would allow them to move freely around South America and to Iran.

From there, it was a matter of fund-raising for Iran’s agents – co-opting drug cartels, and sometimes hiding in remote, lawless parts of Brazil, Peru, Venezuela, and other countries that lack the infrastructural, legal, and economic resources to root out Iran’s agents of terror.

Fernandez may be seeking Iranian help for Argentina’s next Falklands misadventure.

Given the majority Christian populations I doubt that they`re actively trying to import Islamic radicalism, now trading in weapons and assisting in getting radicals into the US, that`s a different matter.

Iran has established 80-plus “cultural centers” across Latin America and the Caribbean to promote Shiite Islam, counter U.S. influence in the region, and increase its own, according to the U.S. Southern Command’s 2015 posture statement submitted to Congress.

“The terrorist group Lebanese Hezbollah—which has long viewed the region as a potential attack venue against Israeli or other Western targets—has supporters and sympathizers in Lebanese diaspora communities in Latin America

If it’s a surprise that many Latinos are moving from a predominantly Roman Catholic culture to an originally Arab faith, perhaps it shouldn’t be. For one thing, like African-Americans in the 1960s, Latinos are discovering their own historical and cultural ties to Islam and the Arab world. And that starts with what most defines Latinos: Spanish.

That’s because Arab Muslims ruled Spain for some 800 years during the Middle Ages – and made the Iberian Peninsula one of the most advanced civilizations of its time. A millennium later, Ruiz says that past is an inescapable part of the Hispanic DNA.

The American Muslim Association of North America, based in North Miami, says heavily Hispanic South Florida in particular is home to a rising number of Latino Muslims.

“What most Latinos who have embraced Islam find most amazing is their cultural affinity to the Muslim culture,” says Ruiz. “It’s like rediscovering your past. That area of our past has been hidden from us.”

Ruiz points out that both Latinos and Arabs highly value the extended family and traditions like offering hospitality to strangers. In religious terms, Latinos like Gonzalez say Islam provides a simpler, more direct form of worship than Catholicism does. They also feel more structure than they see in the evangelical churches so many Latinos join today.

I'm not discounting that Islamist efforts are being made to recruit converts among Hispanics, or that these efforts are happening in Brazil and Argentina, as well as here, Europe, Asia, and probably all over the world. I also don't doubt that there are some Hispanics who ‘identify’ with Islam, but I also think that the statement I agreed with is accurate. Just my humble opinion.

I worry less about Christian populations converting to Islam, and much more about the Christian willingness to welcome others into their countries and their homes leading to a lack of vigilance when it comes to radicals.

That said, I am very worried about the world, radical Islam, and where we are headed.

It`s not going to work. The Christianity practiced in much of Latin America is a fusion of local pagan and traditional Christian beliefs. Unless the camel humpers are willing to dilute their Koran and it`s ‘precious verses’, the natives are not going to take kindly to the strict rote and recitation of any radicalism, hell, they barely follow the bible they were indoctrinated in for centuries.

Why do you think ‘liberation theology’, a fusion of communism and Christianity, FIRST took off in Latin America? Now liberation islamism, maybe but, it`ll be so changed from what the radical ragheads in goat lover land believe, in that they`ll simply have created a new sect to fight with!
