“...Hes not a natural born citizen...”
As we have learned with 0bama, the definition of “Natural Born” held by the founding fathers is no longer relevant. The only relevancy today is US Code and/or court precedent.
So, unless you can point to the relevant SCOTUS ruling that clearly defines NBC in such a way to exclude Cruz; unless you can point to the relevant US Code text that clearly defines NBC in such a way to exclude Cruz; then with McCain’s & Obama’s candidacy precedents all citizens born to at least one US citizen, even if the parent was a minor at the time of birth, are eligible.
You can argue this until you are blue in the face, but without that SCOTUS ruling or US Code, your argument has no merit at the present time *AND* even for the sake of argument if it *did* have merit, there appears to be no one in any appropriate position of authority who is willing to do anything about it.
All that being said, Cruz would make a GREAT president compared to the dung-heap/train-wreck currently staining the formerly honorable office of POTUS. It would appear that is not an uncommon sentiment either. He will be a formidable candidate and I’ll vote for him over any dem candidate and sleep like a baby afterward with no regrets.
In spades.
From the highest roof top.
No, that is false.
In fact some of us are merely saying that your definition of Natural Born Citizen is incorrect.
I know it must hurt to see that even fellow conservatives see this issue differently, but failure to agree with your idiosyncratic views does not constitute defaming the Constitution, as you claim. In fact that is a rude and libelous claim, that I utterly reject, along with many other Freeper Patriots.
Specifically we are saying that the Constitution does not define "Natural Born Citizen", nor is it explicitly defined in the US Code. There are at least as many, if not more, arguments for understanding it as "citizen at birth" as there are for the many, many other interpretations that you and others hold.
And, yes, one must add to that at this point not only Obama's two terms as President, but the rejection of NBC arguments by court after court, including SCOTUS.
