Since you don’t believe “we should throw our weight behind” Ted Cruz, which of the potential candidates do you propose receive that support instead? You have made it abundantly clear that you do not really like Cruz. I’m speculating you are inclined to support a “governor” with a “track record” such as Jeb Bush or even Chris Christie.

He’s never gotten anything done in the Senate, which is understandable considering he’s only been there two years.

Oh, and Obammy Boy DID get things done in his state senate position---the few times he showed up to vote?

Cruz has a tremendous intellect and has emerged as a dynamic natural-born leader in a party full of tired old RINOs who DON'T get anything done except to rubberstamp anything the 'rats put forward. They are not giving their constituents authentic representation. If their constituents wanted 'rat policies in place, they would have voted for the 'rat candidates.

Cruz has risen to the top of a collection of truly ill-qualified Presidential wannabes who have offered nothing that their 'rat masters would not approve of.

Therefore, I heartily disagree with your opinion that Cruz would not make a great President. I think that he would bring back the pride people used to feel when they said they were an American. We would no longer feel humiliated compared to other world powers, and could retake our position of preeminence among the nations. And Cruz, a REAL man among men, would sure as HECK not be caught BOWING to the heads of other nations.

Cruz is an ADULT who would not throw an internationally witnessed tantrum every time his will was thwarted. I do not believe he would attempt (and then deny) tampering with the elections of other countries.

I believe that Cruz would strengthen our hollowed-out defenses to discourage attacks from without and within. The Bammy Child has done quite the opposite. His laying bare our nation for attack is despicable, as are most of the actions which he has undertaken.

I believe that Cruz could work effectively with Congress as the Constitution intended, not rule with "pen and phone" by fiat. Obammy Boy pisses on our Constitution every single day.

I also believe that Cruz is quite capable of recruiting truly excellent people to support his administration and to tutor him in areas where he lacks expertise.

Your arguments appear to be based on opinion, with no supportive evidence to back them up.

It’s hard for us to understand how tens and tens of millions of American citizens violently disagree with our constitutional perspective.

Not so hard to understand. Isn't about 49% of our population getting some form of Federal money? Free money (not really free, just borrowed from the future) makes everyone feel like throwing a party, and parties tend to make people get a bit immoral.

Washington D.C. (and it's supporters) simply don't want the party to stop, but the laws of nature will not be denied. Excessive borrowing and spending will eventually cause a crash.

Hi Liz, I totally agree. Thanks for helping to get the word out—though it seems some Freepers don’t want to ponder the truth.

Scott Walker has gotten things done, passed conservative laws in his state, lowered taxes, defeated the communists/democrats etc. So do you support Scott Walker? I do .

“...What evidence is there that Ted Cruz will do a better job than Obama?...”

Logic dictates that if a garden-variety, affirmative-action intellect like 0bama can manage, then most anyone can do it.

Good link. amazing. We have too many immigrants as they take most jobs in America already.

No more legalization of illegals nor worker immigrant visas nor any more immigration.

I ‘m against any more foreign workers coming into the USA to take my job away.

How much managerial expertise is required to abolish all the unconstitutional executive departments and bureaus that plague us?

EPA, Education, HHS, HUD, Energy....

Deep six ‘em all.

Cruz supports legal immigration.

He does not support illegal immigration.

He supports H-1B only if there is a labor market shortage.

There is NOT currently a labor market shortage.

Therefore, he does not support H-1B in the IT field at the current time.

Legal immigration is what got us in this mess with the 1965 immigration act which changed immigration to let in tsunamis of legal 3rd world immigrants every year into the USA. how many do they let in legally 2 million annually .we need someone that puts Americans ,capitalism, freedom and American workers first not 3rd world immigrants who will turn the USA socialist and take our jobs. If you support 3rd world immigration then all those things are threatened capitalism,American’s jobs, and freedom itself. Any thing can be legalized by the government as they did in 1965. We need someone that is against immigration as Tom Tancredo and Pat Buchanan are as they realize what the democrats are doing with their importing of hordes of 3rd world voters. immigration is the issue that decides all other issues

You need to go back and listen to Hannity's interview of Ted Cruz last night. Cruz made it painfully clear he was talking about immigrants with IT and other specialized skill sets. That precludes the type of immigrants you are talking about.

Apples and oranges comparison, my FRiend.

Americans who were born in the U.S. and have paid taxes all their lives and work in IT jobs don’t want an increase in work visas for 3rd world immigrants.

I don’t want any more immigrants .no more increase in work visas. we have enough 1-2 million legal immigrants per year in the USA

Cruz has no real meaningful political success that he can point to. Obama had just as little success. Arguably Obama is worse...

Arguably?

And perhaps you wonder why you got ZOTTED!!!!!!

Another ignorant blog pump bites the dust.

Let's not over-state what Scott Walker has done.

He SIGNED bills that the Legislature sent to him, period.

And the ONLY reason he was able to SIGN those bills was because he had a GOP-controlled legislature. Otherwise, he would have had NO bills of any conservative nature that he could have signed.

So, Walker has a working wrist (to sign bills) but IT WAS the Wisconsin Legislature that did all the heavy lifting.

And Cruz, as xzins has already pointed out to you, precluded his support for more H1-Bs on the Demonstrated NEED for anymore H1-Bs.

Its just a general term to me as how it “sounds” likely to moderate voters. But I could use “strange” if you prefer.
