These are the words of someone that refuses to see that the values that he refuses to adopt are the reason for the success he sees and envies in others.

And the more effort you put into it, the luckier you get. Surprising the number of opportunities that show up when you are already hard at work.

The first rule of ANY endeavor that you are putting effort into - you are not working for the boss, you are working for yourself, and the boss just gets the benefit of your hard work. If the boss knows what is in his best interests, he will make sure you are getting compensated for your effort, but in the end, you always work for your own personal achievement.
