26 A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” 27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.” 28 Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Then Jesus told him,“Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

I do not need the Shroud to believe. I come by faith that the Word is true. That does not mean that I have no interest in the Shroud. If a Thomas today needs the Shroud to convince belief, so be it.

As a follower of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and as a scientist with an inquiring mind I have always been interested in the Shroud. Science today makes it ever more difficult to refute the validity of the Shroud. I am of the opinion that it could be the burial cloth that ‘clothed’ Jesus in the tomb.
