I know that Ted Cruz is scary smart, but who’d have thought that he could pull off such a neat trick as being born a naturalised citizen? He pulled off a unique maneuver to become a naturalized citizen at only a few minutes old. What a guy!

Being a citizen by birth, he is therefore a Natural Born Citizen.
Canadian citizenship law with respect to Senator Cruz is irrelevant.

That’s what some folks just can’t grasp. If you didn’t have to go through the naturalization process to become a citizen, you are a natural born citizen. I don’t know why they have to make it complicated.
