You are right on!

Chimeras have two people in one body. It is the result of fraternal twins merging as zygotes, in the womb, very early in a pregnancy and the resulting baby having the DNA of two people.

If the “two people” are the same sex it is not sexually a problem, but if the fraternal twins were originally male and female then the resulting baby could have both male and female genitals and/or conflicted sexual self-identification.

My nephew’s other aunt, on his dad’s side of the family, was severely raped, beaten and left for dead by a gang of men when she was a child. Not surprisingly she became a lesbian when a teenager. However, when she was in her 40s she met a male coworker, fell in love, and abandoned her lesbian lifestyle.

I firmly believe the majority of homosexuals are queer by choice.

“Bruce Jenner was born with a mans body and contends he a female mind”

Why not just do a DNA test and look for the Y chromosome? That will give you the answer...

Well, almost... there are some women with Y chromosomes.

Born That Way basically frames homosexuality as a biological trait like race. Which is convenient for the gay lobby because it lets them piggyback on the social reasoning of the civil rights movement. That is, that as a society we’ve decided it’s not okay to judge people by what they are, but only by what they do. Born That Way seemingly puts homosexuals in the first category and therefore off-limits to judgement and discrimination.

The catch is that homosexuality, or any kind of sexuality for that matter, is experienced by society strictly through an individual’s behavior. This makes it fundamentally different from race, as evidenced by the fact that a person doesn’t have to DO anything for you to be able to tell their race. In fact, they could be laying dead in a casket and you could tell their race . But you couldn’t tell if they were homosexual. You could only know this if they were alive and behaving like a homosexual. And, importantly, this is true whether they were Born That Way or they learned it. Born That Way makes no difference.

So race and sexuality are in completely different categories. The left uses Born That Way to confuse those categories, but it’s a red herring since born or learned doesn’t change the fact that society experiences sexuality strictly through behavior.

"want it both ways"

My own belief (and I'm not an expert on anything medical) is that it is caused by hormonal imbalance during pregnancy.

That means if they can make sure there is no hormonal imbalance, that would be the end of homosexuality. Hopefully. I wonder how the homo advocates would react to that. Not very well I'll bet.

Only definitive if identical twins never have individual birth defects.

Birth defects are more commonly a result of a failure to develop properly than of genetic damage.

Also, to get reasonably accurate statistics, you’d have to look at identical male twins raised apart.

“Born That Way basically frames homosexuality as a biological trait like race. Which is convenient for the gay lobby because it lets them piggyback on the social reasoning of the civil rights movement.”

As explained in the essay, it goes beyond that into being used as a weapon specifically targeting Christianity — and in the process one of the pillars of our society. The object then is to bring it all down so it can be replaced by a new, improved paradigm.

The problem is, as we select ourselves for extinction, others are there to take our place — and their positions toward abortion and homosexuality are far more harsh.

Our way of life cannot be preserved if we are not here to preserve it.

Because it’s essential to their faux-civil rights promotion of the gay agenda. (The real intent is to divide, control, and spread their hate to everyone else.)

And the Anti-Christians have latched onto it, because if they can get people to believe that homosexuality is normal, then it basically is saying that the Bible is wrong....all of it. That’s why it has become the social issue of our times.

Same for any collectivist or pervert, just ask them.

“Born that way” is just an excuse that implies they can’t help themselves when they molest others and parade around in drag queen’ outfits. Ergo no prosecution.

Well, almost... there are some women with Y chromosomes.

Swyer syndrome. About 1 in 80,000. Victims have an X and Y chromosome and non-functioning female plumbing.

There is also Klinefelter syndrome: having a Y chromosome and two or more X chromosomes. Victims appear male, but have malfunctioning equipment. More common than Swyer: between 1 in 500 and 1 in 1000.http://freerepublic.com/perl/post#help

(PS. It should be noted that as it was with abortion, the Left wants this issue settled by the Courts, not our elected representatives. Doing so quashes citizen influence and legally settles the issue forever.

With respect to abortion, the actual central issue was the personhood of the unborn child, but the SCOTUS side-stepped that in favor of making it instead about privacy and control of one’s body. Consequently, when the personhood issue is raised, the responses instead address the privacy aspect — ignoring whether the baby is a person, and as such, has a right to life.

Hence, the central issue is deliberately left unresolved.

With respect to homosexuality being enforced via government edict, Born That Way is not specifically addressed by the Courts, because that would open the door to uncomfortable debate. Instead our berobed Philosopher Kings treat it as an issue of “equal rights” as if the Born That Way issue was already settled without the need for such debate, which would be influenced by a general population who cannot be trusted to have influence over something so Important.

Hence, if someone expresses opposition to government-sanctioned same-sex marriage or having Christians forced to make same-sex wedding cakes, the response is framed as if it were about discrimination against a demographic group. Whether homosexuals actually constitute a legally protected demographic group is not to be discussed.)

Pyromaniacs are born that way also. It’s just what they choose to engage in or not engage in that defines them as pyromaniacs or sexual deviants.

I don’t know...I think there are plenty of gay molesters out there trying to convert young boys in Scouting and their neighborhood kids into future perverts. Pyromania is a obsessive fixation for setting things on fire and triggers a sexual type response. I’m not sure they born that way but the focus and fixation is intense and there is a sexual response. Much of their environment can shape them into bein little pyros at first then pro pyros later...

There are many behavioral desires or tendencies that are inborn - alcoholism and carbohydrate intolerance (obesity) being two of, presumably, many.

This has nothing to do with how society organizes its constraints on sexual behavior. I’m oriented towards adultery with beautiful women. This is not socially (or personally) constructive, and should be discouraged more than it in fact is.

No society has ever survived unlimited indulgence of sexual desire, this one won’t either. Whether some or all such desires are inborn is irrelevant.

I’ve always been mystified by the ‘romance’ of fellating a stranger in a rest stop men’s room. I suppose I’m a narrow-minded homophobe when I ponder the attraction of swapping new medication resistant STDs with strangers.

The LEFT is EVIL, p;lain and simple.
They REFUSE to acknowledge God.
Homosexuality is SIMPLE, and the CAUSE is SIMPLE.
TO TOLERATE HOMOSEXUALS IS EVIL.
This is what we get when we FAIL to OBEY God.
For it is written: Those who support homosexuals are against our Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ.
These anti Christ people only bring destruction on us ALL.
I have NO sympathy for homosexuals!

Homosexuality is a "Mark" of disobedience.
Someone once asked The answer is in the definition of "REPROBATE". And the reason"why" is given in the Bible.

God has a cure for homosexuals.

"Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect
that God is just,
that his justice cannot sleep forever."

***Homophobia is a genuine mental illness, in which the afflicted has an irrational fear of homosexuals,***

Bunkum. The proper word is Homomisia, a revulsion of all things homo. Same for Islamomisia.

The reason the left won't budge on the "born that way" approach is because without that, homosexuality isn't a "civil rights" issue as much as a personal choice.

They don't have any proof that it is genetic, but they are doing the same thing they do with issues such as economics and anthropogenic global warming...they are framing their opinion as fact, and demonizing anyone who dares disagree with them. What did Alinsky say...." Rule 11: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, polarize it. Don’t try to attack abstract corporations or bureaucracies. Identify a responsible individual. Ignore attempts to shift or spread the blame."

I have always found it interesting that most conservatives don't really care what homosexuals do, and view it as the personal issue of those practicing it. Many conservatives who know homosexuals treat them as individuals even when they know they are practicing homosexuals, as long as they keep it their own business.

Conservatives simply don't think society and government should give homosexuality a moral stamp of approval.
