Health Reform: Voters who handed Republicans control of the Senate, largely on the promise of killing ObamaCare, must be wondering why they bothered. Senate leaders now want to protect the law for the next two years.

Eh, I think they DID that around the time Ted Cruz laid out the case for them to NOT cave on it. Sept 2013, iirc

The ACA is here to stay. It is the inoperable cancer that will eventually kill our republic alongside social security.

Are the two parties opposite sides of the same coin?

Are they playing good cop, bad cop with us?

I’ve gone on record. The only candidates I will vote for in 2016 are Walker and Cruz. If anybody else gets the nomination I’ll vote in other elections, but I will not cast a vote in the presidential elections. I’m done voting for lizards.

GOP is in the tank for big insurance companies, who have apparently decided that they rather like having all Americans legally compelled to buy their product, even if they have no money.

Who would be surprised if the “GOP” did surrender on this item? It would be news if they did not.

McConnell will likely find his tenure as Majority Leader a short-term affair.

Look for the Senate to return to Dem control after the 2016 election.

McConnell and Boehner claimed they wanted the Republicans to have another chance at Capitol Hill leadership, because the last time the Republicans had that, they failed miserably.

Well, McConnell will likely be demoted in 2016 and Boehner in 2018, because both of them have failed — miserably.

No they didn’t just surrender, they helped pass it and have been on board all along. This whole system is corrupt to the core, the police, the courts, yes even the SCOTUS, the Congress, the White Hut and the justice system. Oh and I shouldn’t leave out the free press, turns out it isn’t free, you have to buy it.

No. The Republicans surrendered on obamacare the day after the election that they promised, “If elected, I will repeal obamacare” was over. In other words, a long time ago.

Just remember - a vote for anything but the GOP candidate is a vote for Hitlery! Keep voting GOP, because they are better than the Democrats, or something...

GOPe here let me explain it to you conservative rubes so even you can understand. Our friends in the Chamber demand that they be able to off load their healthcare costs to the government and Obamacare is the first step towards that goal. Our good friends the Democrats took the hit for implementing this plan and now it's our turn. We next going to get “immigration reform” done to allow amnesty and more HB-1 visas so our friends in the Chamber can reduce labor costs. This will of course give us more money to work with and our good friends the Democrats will receive more voters for the welfare state so it's a win win for both parties! Naturally your salaries and wages are going to decrease as you need to adjust to the new economy. Also to help our good friends in both the Chamber and the Democrats your tax burden is going to increase to help fund the arrival of the new Americans. But we are getting things done here in Washington and part of the process is to reduce the overinflated standard of living that Americans believe they are entitled to. This is something that both socialists and crony capitalists can agree on.
Now let the people who know best handle things just send in your check and we'll see you in November!
Thanks,
GOPe

The corrupt quislings better known as the GOP leadership have no interest in the good of the nation or the constitution. They are the enemy. We no longer have a republic we have an oligarchy. If it was not for the guns they would have their boots on our throats.
