I noticed that my Congressman (Roe TN-1) was in Pigeon Forge this past weekend to welcome Paula Deen. Recall that she got the business not too long ago for thoughtcrime.
Thought some FReepers who might be coming to East Tenn for vacation or passing through might be interested.
Menu looks mouth watering.

after her crucifixion for ancient events, my wife bought several cook books and kitchen utensils in support of her. I’m sure many others did same or similar. I think the whole think blew up in the face of those attemting to take her down.

I didn’t pay much attention to Paula until she became the latest PC target. Then she got my sympathy and support.
I’m happy for her. Paula is a survivor. Notice, the walls of Jericho came tumbling down one month after Paula gave an interview where she remarked that when Michelle Obama visited Paula set, Michelle ate many sample dishes of food.
In fact, Paula said “Michelle ate more sample dishes of food than any other guest she had ever hosted, man or woman!”
Coincidence? Ask Michelle after 2016.
I can’t stand listening to her accent and butchering of the English language.
I downloaded the menu. Mouthwatering.
I have to say apparently she sobered up if she landed on her feet.
With that said, she laid down with dogs and got some fleas.

I don’t remember if it was last year or the year before that I heard about her opening a restaurant. I told my wife then that eating there is now on my bucket list. It’s on hers too.
That is exactly why I thought it worthwhile to post. I really do not care what her politics is (are?). If she is in recovery, Good for her.
Her downfall was news for several cycles. Seems only fair that her perseverance is interesting for at least some of us.
