A CNN correspondent covering the Baltimore anti-police riots live indicated rioters were openly hostile towards anyone
who was not African-American.

Mayors of Baltimore since 1967...notice a common thread?
Another failed state!
There would not have been those brave liberal souls pulling any such crap on our air craft carrier in the late 70’when we had a crossburning on the mess deck, a black stabbed a white guy in retaliation and what ensued were some of the scariest 3 days of our lives WHEN ALL the blacks were on one side of the chow hall, EVERY white on the other side for even a more tense feeling than having helped put nukes in the air and sending them on their way to Teheran (during the hostage crisis ).By the way, I wish in hindsight we would have gone through with it. Of course Carter was still POTUS. Some “hostage negotiator influenced speech” the Captain gave over two hours long got us to get on with our jobs but it was bad. I think the Nimitz had a similar experience.
I'm all for the arming bit but would caution against going into the areas altogether. A lone armed citizen, caught in one of those areas is still likely to be overwhelmed and then it will be turned around about how they "went in with intent to wreak havoc" and be used to further fuel the race baiters.
Prudent advice on avoiding such areas altogether. The threat zone is 360° horizontal and vertically as high as the highest building.
Even armed police groups are not safe in such zones.
As proof I offer the photo of a ‘yout’ proudly brandishing a broken Lexan police shield as a trophy. An example of training and doctrine failure. Don’t know if the officers were overwhelmed to become casualties or merely fled leaving their useless shields behind.
Rocks lobbed from a crowd or thrown from rooftops can be as deadly as bullets.
One of my favorite areas when I travel there to see family.
The zoo.
The Inner Harbor Aquarium.
All the animals.
They have no PO-leece dogs in that town?
You forgot mayor Pelosi back in the 60’s.
Pray America is waking
In 1963 or ‘64 the Washington DC High School Football Championship was played in DC Stadium between the Catholic school champs and public school champs.
You can guess at the racial distribution of the student fans.
A riot ensued. Two police GSD’s suffered from human bites. That was the last time I recall PD dog deployment.
They have Malinois, now.
Nastier dogs.
By far.
I once saw rival 1%ers *instantly* turn polite when *1* Mal jumped from the cruiser window onto its hood.
FWIW, the sheer psychological factor of turning Dobes loose would end a lot of this crap.
Yup, Malinois and Dobes cause them to hit that pause button with both hands.
As a side note I once noticed a couple in NYC’s Central Park during some big gathering part the crowd like Moses at the Red Sea. They had a pair of big beautiful. Bouviers doing a circling eight pattern around them, heads doing a slow swivel and stare.
Most impressive and effective. Training, training, training, and genes.
Funny you’d mention those.
Way back when I had my “man stopper” Wonder Dobe, I was at a local training class one afternoon.
We were doing our thing and an SUV pulled up.
The trainer stopped and went over to it and a guy popped the hatch and ginormous Bouvier hopped out.
Went straight for my dog.
*That* time, I tried to grab my dog up an run.
Crazy Tito was trying to get away from me and go back and pick up the gauntlet that Bouv had thrown down.
Wild times for a 16 year old girl.
:D
Alpha dogs just being Alpha dogs.
Haven’t seen but a handful of Bouviers, but those I’ve seen have all had a quiet self assurance that just radiates from them. They don’t seem to care what you bring knowing that it’s not enough.
;->)
It was 1977 and I was not even sure it was a *dog*.
Far as I know, he was the first of his kind to come to my area.
I thought it was a mutant bear or something.
LOL
>>All non blacks should arm themselves before going into black areas.<<
Don’t forget the extra mags.
