People shouldn’t be shocked about the outcome of welfare. Look how well the reservation system worked for Native Americans.

It’s the leftist soft bigotry of low expectations. Social welfare is killing all Americans.

That could be said of the entire country. I remember when growing up how neighborhoods were that...”neighbors”. All the people on our street knew each other and the kids paid attention to all grownups.

Today you can’t look cross eyed at someones kid without the parent thinking your up to no good with their child, and or need to mind your own business.....

We are a fractured and broken society.....

I’ve been thinking about this recently. The federal government’s war on men/fathers/families has probably hurt black people the most.

People need families and opportunity, not a permanent government sugar daddy.

The dichotomy of the left is on display here in this issue especially.

The evil elite, such as Johnson, knew exactly what they were doing (”we’ll have them n*rs voting democrat for the next 200 years”),

and they get the support of the sheeperal,
whose primary motivation is justifying “I’m a good person because I care”,
by telling them that their motives were good,
and they should be supported in helping the poor,
and that those who support “helping the poor”
are morally superior to those who oppose it (for any reason).

The sheeperal STILL think this way. Those who even point out the failure of these programs are “mean” or “evil”.

Liberal policies are hurting all segments of society, it is just more evident in black families at this time.

Liberals have replaced personal responsibility and achievement with an entitlement mentality that decimates the soul.

The disproportionate impact with the black community is puzzling - but I’d attribute most of it to democrat targeting.
They more easily fell for the entitlement BS because of past grievances, to be sure.

good post cj

In high school I would walk home thru a large, poor black neighborhood. No one ever bothered me.

Because no one back then had AC and the houses were close to the sidewalk, I could look in to living rooms. Almost everyone had a picture of Jesus and MLK (or James Brown)....HA ...I Feel Good !

I miss those days. Kids used to be able to safely roam their neighborhoods all day. We didn’t lock our doors at night. Now many of the black neighborhoods and some white ones have bars on the windows and triple locks on the doors.

LBJ may be the worst president our country has ever had. Without him, Obama might never have been elected.

I remember my dad always thought LBJ had something to do with the JFK assasination. Ms. Brownie did, too. Turns out, so did Jackie. He was an evil person. I wouldn’t be surprised if he left a slime trail all the way to Obama.

My DH’s side of the family is the same. Many of the grandchildren on his side have children out of wedlock. One is in her early twenties and is living with a guy who is twice her age with teenage/college age kids. He is still married. Together they have one baby and another on the way. Just one example. No shame.

Yes, he did, as he also did from the death of Robert Kennedy.
