The ancient Molossians were a tribe in Epirus in the vicinity of modern Ioannina in NW Greece; their kings were supposedly descended from Neoptolemus (son of Achilles) and Andromache (who had been the wife of Hector).

Since the Greeks object to the Republic of Macedonia using the name Macedonia, because they claim exclusive rights to the name Macedonia, will they object to the Republic of Molossia?

This Molossia is named after a spanish word that describes a rocky point on his property

Baugh specifically stated that he did not name it after the Greek group-

I guess the Greeks could still go after the name... they ARE hard up for bucks, after all lol

“Please note: The Republic of Molossia bears no relation to the ancient Greek nation of the same name”
