Anyone know what a ‘rape alarm’ does? Is it your own personal siren? Is it something that calls the police and lets them know your location?

I was thinking about various personal protection methods the other day and was wondering if a product exists that is essentially a miniature body cam but it’s constantly streaming live images as opposed to being stored on your person…. which is the way I think that cop body cams work. http://bodycameras.com/ If this was available, I would think that it would put a serious dent in a lot of muggings, knockout games etc etc etc.

The problem here is that you are thinking like a normal, rational person.

Most muggers (and probably all knockout game folks) are unthinking and irrational. They don't think anything through. If the opportunity presents itself, and they feel like doing the crime, they'll just do it.

Cameras, a police station around the block, none of that matters much.
