Paul is interested in ridding only one section.
True. The data is available to local police departments. Local bosses behind local politicians can bribe to get the data and use it to make plans for robbing their neighbors.
He is probably right on this one issue. Other than that I really don’t like him.
OK, so now how do we get rid of the TSA perverts?
The Patriot Act should have been nuked from outer space but it looks like they will replace it with the USA Freedom Act. Not a perfect bill but better than we had. Regaining lost freedom is hard to do.
Thank You Rand Paul for fighting hard to restore our constitutional rights.
When first enacted under George W. Bush, the Patriot Act was fine, because it was directed against people of hostile interests to the security of the USA, especially members of Islamic terrorists, such as Al-Queda. However, under Barack Hussein Obama, the Patriot Act was re-directed to go after those citizens whose interests were foreign to the Democratic Party interests, or conservative/Tea Party types. Given its potential for political abuse and/or tyranny (as amply-demonstrated by the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue) the Patriot Act it is better that this flawed law is left to lapse, and it must be admitted that Senator Rand Paul has performed a patriotic service for us all.
