I thought Brothers and Saving Private Ryan did an excellent job of portraying highly competent, politically neutral officers and NCOs during combat.
Great observation.
Funny thing is that type may enter a combat senerio but they won’t remain neutral after the first bullet whistles past his head.
Tom Hanks doesn’t deserve the libertys his fellow country men have fought and died for that he prospers from.
He is the poster child of a hypocritical asshole.
Uh, that’s quite a leap you just took.
BTW, I have Cancer and I look pretty good, so far.
So does my Wife who has been dealing with my Disease for the past ten Years. She isn’t thrilled at all actually.
Not sure why you felt the need to comment on an observation made by Max. I’m sure he never connected Hank’s appearance with his Wife’s Malady. Do you have any evidence that Hanks appearance is directly related to his Wife’s Medical Condition?
Unlike many, Hanks can hire Caretakers to assist his Wife. I assure you he isn’t doing Bedpan duty as I did when taking care of my Elderly Mother and Aunt before they Passed.
Well, I’ve beat this Dead Horse quite enough. Carry on.
I wouldn’t call “Lincoln” all that historical. Well acted, definitely. But as history it had a lot to be desired.
Band of Brothers was great.
however, i’ve been rewatching The Pacific for the past couple of days and i’ve been struck by how the tone of that series veered hard-left into “war is bad, US soldiers did bad things” territory. it’s almost as if Spielberg and Hanks were ashamed that Band of Brothers was received so well as a patriotic series about patriotic Americans and felt the need to veer left to make their Hollyweird and libtard friends happy.
technically it’s still a very good series... but the tone is really “off”. no wonder nobody talks about it anymore.
You make it sound like she had a prolonged illness, which was not the case. The last good Hanks movie was The Road to Perdition.
It’s quite good.
