Politicians will not embrace a format with “no grandstanding.” Author must be slow on the take!

No, actually Seth has little interest in politics but in the process and how it could be improved.
His point is that can you really get a word in edgewise with 2 minute time limit and 10 people on the platform? Why not have a Buckley-Vidal / Buckley-Chomsky type debate. Just two people talking about the issues.
The point wasn't about a "channel" per se, but about the ability to circumvent the moderators and their inane questions. If the GOP isn't using ALL of the new media now available, it's not the Dems' fault. Unfortunately I do not have a lot of faith in the Stupid party to get it right this time either.
This could easily be implemented:
Monday: Cruz-Rubio - Middle East
Tuesday: Bush-Santorum - Illegal immigration
Wednesday: Walker-Cruz - Job creation
Thursday: Huckabee-Fiorina - ISIS
Friday: Carson-Bush - Obamacare Reform
Saturday: Santorum-Fiorina - Tax reform
What's to prevent them from doing this one week a month for the next 16 months and then post them all on youtube for all the world to view? No moderators, just a discussion.
