I’m calculating climb against airspeed. 100% = vertical, 0% = horizontal. 50% = 30 degrees.

Looking at it that way, for every 100 feet you have to travel 87 feet horizontally. Since the idea of VTOL is to eliminate the need for horizontal travel one could argue you’re 13% of the way to vertical.
