“A lot in here that I don’t understand but I questioned whether a ninth grade dropout did indeed write the “manifesto” attributed to Roof.”

Plenty of smart kids drop out of high school. Plus there’s spell-check. With the Internet he could have easily learned about Rhodesia, etc.

Don’t equate success or failure in public schools with intelligence or lack thereof.

Correct. Also check the opposite side of the jacket with the flags sewn on. It’s an academic award jacket given out to approx 170 out of 4000 students.
I don’t think this kid is stupid. There is a fine line between genius and insanity.

Reports I have read suggest he played video games, drank and did drugs with other unemployed friends. But in his other spare time, he researched Rhodesia and The Council of Conservative Citizens? He also failed ninth grade, but I guess in reality he was just another Einstein.

Doesn’t matter. Nine innocent people are dead and SC and others will remove the Confederate flag.

From his manifesto:

“I have read hundreds of slaves narratives from my state.”

Does that not strike you as strange?
