Solomon: Businesses Must Be Open ‘For Everybody,’ Religious Objections ‘Non-American’
Breitbart TV ^ | 6-29-2015 | Ian Hanchett

Posted on 06/29/2015 2:13:25 PM PDT by Sir Napsalot

Freedom to Marry Campaign Director Marc Solomon .... on Monday’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports.”

Solomon was asked how he would respond to those who argue people with religious objections should not be forced to provide services for same-sex weddings, he answered “The way I would counter it is that in America, if you are open to business, you’re open to business for everybody. We’ve been through this debate 50 years ago, on other crucial civil rights matters. And you don’t have a policy where companies, businesses say yes to many people but no to some. That’s a non-American approach and I don’t think the — the American people won’t stand for it.”

“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

We are in good company. Get ready for the Church of Jesus Christ is in for a wild ride in the United States of America, which is quickly becoming a nation against God

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

21 But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:

22 Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.

23 Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

24 Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.

One fine example in the comment section -

LuluB: “Vegan restaurateurs aren’t forced to serve meat because of moral objections nor would they likely serve an event where animal slaughter takes place. ......”

But Dana Perino just said on The Five Morons that the gay community will rally behind the religious freedom rights of others so that they (Christians) do not lose their tax exempt status!

FNC should give all of their employees an IQ test and anyone who scores in the double digits should not be on air.

The American approach is to reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.

They’re “in your face” (words from one of their older propaganda campaigns) with mandated obscenity and brainwashing.

You’re right.

It’s been said here before and I tend to agree - maybe the Churches should just get out of the marriage business altogether.

The stage has been set; I’m sure they have their Churches targeted already. The lawsuits and very likely property damage/looting will become the norm. And the gov’t and media will cheer them on.

I don’t see any way to avoid that now.

Using this logic, explain to me how a kosher deli is legal.

The position presented in this article is a clear violation of the 1st amendment freedom of assembly.

See, the gays are not libertarians or even Conservatives. In the next 5 years churches will be closed down by gays and bibles will be made illegal to own because of the words against gays.

What about businesses that refuse advertising because they disagree with the message? Haven't TV networks refused to run certain ads?

It is one thing to claim that same sex marriage is a “civil right”. It is quite another to force someone else, even someone who performs weddings for a living, to perform or participate in a same sex marriage ceremony, if they have a moral or religious objection to it.

Of course that is what the LGBT movement is going to demand, and with no more protection of the Constitution and the rule of law, what recourse do we have in protecting ourselves?

Use this ruling to force networks and magazines to run conservative message ads, if businesses must be forced to accept customers against their beliefs.

Dear mr. Solomon,

To be open for business, grants the business owner the right to refuse service to anyone, since it is they who owns the business. It is NOT a constitutional right of service.

Therefore, for me to be open to you, I would, openly and freely state, that my rates for your cohorts would be 250% above what I MIGHT charge someone else!

If you decide that to be of a usury nature, go to another business, that is your choice.

Bartenders don’t serve drunks, gun stores dont serve felons, many fitness centers are open only to women. There are lots of exceptions to the notion of “Full Service” for all.
