That, and blacks also are complicit in slavery. Hell, they started it!
The African continent was completely inaccessible to outsiders.
If you think about it, there were deadly tropical diseases, language barriers, continual tribal warfare, no proper maps, no roads, hostile indigenous people... etc. All this was an insurmountable barrier to outsiders.
The slaves were collected inland by other African people (many Muslims) and trekked to the coast where ships were waiting.
The slave trade was THAT lucrative and though it does not absolve slave holders... but it OUGHT to explain HOW the trade began and became SO entrenched everywhere.
There's certainly lots of blame to go around.
It should be remembered that individuals in the West and governments of the Western powers initiated the abolitionist movement.
Muslims would continue the practice (still do) long after it was a crime everywhere else.
And they and the Arabs are still conducting it world wide.
It wasn’t white people who invaded Africa and started the slave trade, it had already been going on for a long time with one tribe invading and enslaving another.
When they found out that they could get something (anything) of value from selling their captured slaves to another party they gleefully engaged in the slave trade.
Perhaps all the black people should kill themselves because their ancestors and offspring are still engaging slavery and have a records magnitudes of evil much worse than the white population.
This sounds very much like a typical brain washed liberal professor who believes all the trash he has been taught and is nor teaching it himself.
There is an old saying that if one tells a lie often enough he will then believe it as true even if he knew it was a lie and he started spreading it himself.
The bible likens this to one who by repetition so hardened their own conscience they they became unable to distinguish the truth.
