Socialism requires a population both ignorant and corrupt enough to embrace it.

We’re ready for it.

I have been amazed by how many people on this website are big fans of Medicare and Social Security. I can remember when conservatives opposed those programs. I remember Reagan warning about what would happen if Medicare was passed. Now, there seem to be a lot of conservatives who don't regard those programs as socialism. Either that or there are a lot of conservatives who now support some forms of socialism. Nowadays, people tend to support the socialist programs that give them benefits and only oppose the programs that give other people benefits.

Maybe it's always been the same - everyone is just out for themselves..

We’ve asked ourselves: what could be worse that Bush v. Clinton part deux?

Here is the answer: Sanders v. Trump!

Trying not to sound to Pollannish here but, at least:

Trump: Actually understands the damage caused by rampant and unchecked illegal immigration
Sanders: Actually understands the damage caused by rampant and unchecked Wall Street banksters

So, maybe not great, but certainly a heckuva lot better than Shrillary v. Jeb.
