If the Chinese wanted to induce chaos, interfering with the EBT system from the 30th of one month to the 3rd of the next would do that.
He does not mention having any which is pretty smart. If he does not then he won’t prep long he will be victimized.
and not tell the world he will have a years worth of food and other valuable stuff.
I hope he is continuing to add to his stores...
Are these unreasonable risks to our daily routine?
1- Hackers shutting down critical financial systems?
2- Hackers interrupting utilities?
3- Solar flares knocking out critical Satellite systems for finance, communication, and navigation?
4- Any of the natural disasters commonly encountered anywhere in the U.S.?
5- Obama going Stalinist on America?
I got the Quicksilver ref - in fine Dennis Miller style....
25 + 50 pounds of meat in the freezer. BFD. That’s hardly paranoid prepping. I know people with that much in the freezer who don’t even know what a “prepper” is. I have a medium freezer in the garage because I only buy meat on sale. I probably have near that much. If the price is right I go for it. I saved enough over the years to pay for the freezer several times over. Darn convenient, too. Does that make me paranoid??
The writer must be like my liberal SIL who thinks that they need no more food in the house than will last until Sunday shopping - I mean that quite literally.
I suppose the idiot writer has never been through the eyes 3 hurricanes in 6 weeks and without power for a week as we have. Nor a week without power because of a massive ice storm, as we have. I bought a $21 “Water Bob” which is great insurance for any water outage you can see coming by at least 1/2 hour, don’t care if I never have to use it.
A few years ago when Louisville got creamed by an ice storm, those without cash couldn’t buy much of anything because of power outages. Duh, surprise, surprise.
Anyone living in Florida after Andrew hit knows how dangerous it is. Lots of nasty stuff going on in Miami Dade area. Only a fool wouldn’t own a gun, unless you like being robbed or raped or killed or all three. Lots of animals out there on two legs.
I miss Dennis now that he has left talk radio.
I don’t take things quite to the level of Mr. Valenti, but I absolutely do keep a sizeable reserve of long shelf life foods, water, radios, and other essential gear about in case of an extended emergency. And I am most certainly not some paranoid nutjob.
A snot-nosed urbanite like O’Connor may get his jollies from mocking those who use common sense to be ready in case of an emergency. But I guarantee you, if he were ever actually caught (with his pants down) in a situation in which the power didn’t come back on in the next few hours, or the police were too tied up with a catastrophe to respond to his 911 call, his behavior would quickly become very like the next door neighbors in the Twilight Zone episode “The Shelter”.
What a smug little meathead.
Aw, bless his little city dwelling heart.
I plan on living forever. So far, so good.
Mine asks why they have airbags in their cars.
“The machine that we built would never save us”
That’s what they say
(That’s why they ain’t coming with us today)
Too danged funny.
To leftists, gov’t is god and the collective is their congregation. Prepping is blasphemy because it questions the omnipotence of their god and the cohesion of their congregation.
I was talking silver and the Fed with my doctor on Friday. Don't talk preps.
Hopefully you’ll still be able to buy a gun.
Well, OOhh-kay then.
Regards from Northern NV.
This guy has 75 lbs of meat? Hardly enough for a good BBQ! Does he have a Confederate battle flag?
