Over the weekend we have had three power outages in my neighborhood.

Prepping means that you don't have to wait for the lights to come back on.

That’s a fair way of expressing what prepping is to begin with I think. I was without water for three days after a frozen street pipe....ground was so frozen they had a tough time getting to it. That taught me to have a storage of “flush” water, especially over the winter.
