Socialism is contrary to Torah. There is a definitive private property statement in Genesis 1:28 in the verb for "have dominion" pronounced ur'du. The root is derived from a Semitic term meaning to set property lines by walking boundaries 'treading down' the grass. G_d didn't give us each infinite responsibility for the entire earth; we are to care for our own.

We have done that. We have walked the boundaries of the property we own. It is ours!
