Smell that?

I can smell it coming from both sides of the aisle.

. . . . Fear.

I wasn’t going to post to this thread anymore, since it was veering off the road a little too much (I’ve been at work all evening anyhow). But I had to say ‘bravo’ to your analysis, it’s excellent. No matter who the person in question is, the word FRENZY is the keyword. For the hypersensitive out there, I’ll use the story of a chunky Italian guy with an eye for the ladies and choo-choo trains, next time.

” I’ll be working hard to elect actual conservatives.”

Your idea of a great candidate having been the amnesty pushing Dubya. But I guess you’ve “grown” seeing as you now castigate Trump for being too much like no-borders Bush.

” but I still don’t regret not voting for Al Gore no matter how much you insist that should’ve been my vote.”

Yeah, you’re remarkably clever and I’ve never seen the logical fallacy of false dilemma before. You sure got me there.

You admitted your naivete in voting for Arnold so it’s little surprise to see you booming Dubya as a “conservative” as well. And actually that wouldn’t attract any notice if you weren’t posturing as the arbiter of conservative purity as you share your endless wisdom with us mortals.

“If it makes you feel any better, I’m never voting for another Baby Boomer or someone born before 1965 again”

You’re a little late with that sentiment. A radical named Jack Weinberg got famous for spouting similar generational nonsense when he was 24.

It sounds very much like this:

“I [support the second amendment, but I] also believe that there are responsibilities that gun owners must follow in owning a firearm. I support the Brady bill, I support the current assault weapons ban and I believe that guns must have safety devices or be stored as to prevent accidental discharge.” - Arnold Schwarzenegger, August 29, 2003

Just a wild guess, but I’m assuming those threatening to leave are those we wouldn’t mind seeing go.

I suggest that you procure a copy of Copi's Introduction to Logic in order to avoid fallacies of the sort that litter your posts. I understand that you probably think them to be the soul of wit, and perhaps they are among your friends, but if you want to come across as something other than sophomoric it will be necessary for you to learn to use valid logic and to not be pretentious. Just a suggestion from one of the benighted Baby Boomers who has seen the same act before.

“You said that Trump quote (you didn’t know it was Trump’s) sounded like Arnold’s quote. I’m pointing out the obvious.”

I was perfectly aware that you posted a quote of Trump’s. You’re predictable as opposed to clever, despite what your ardent self-love tells you.

I posted the Arnold quote in reply because you voted for Arnold when he made that comment and now you’re aghast that Trump could say such a thing. It’s called mockery, little man. Evidently you need to have the obvious pointed out to you.

‘Fallacy of wit’- well come to think of it you have that as well. What I had been referring to is your habitual resort to logical fallacies in your posts.

‘Trump is a conservative’ is the biggest logical fallacy in the history of mankind.

No that was "Dubya was a conservative."

I’m not pulling for Trump, but I hope he destroys what’s left of the GOPe in the meantime and clears the way for Cruz.

Actually, destruction of the current RINO party should be an ongoing effort! We really don’t need two Democratic Parties and they have become almost interchangeable these days.

This is the time to scare the hell out of the Republicans in Washington and when that does not work, third party. They will never win again until they get back to Republican ideas and actually back that with action. Their promises and their actions are 180 degrees out of whack. We are so tired of it all!! Enough!

We gave them the House when they made promises. We gave them the Senate when they made promises. Give them the Presidency and they continue to make promises. Sorry, promises are all you have to offer - results, not so much! You fold like a deck of cards when the MSM or the Democrats complain. You are a bunch of Democrat lites and lately, not so lite.

Seems that both parties are corrupt and looking out for those that pay their way. The American people no longer have any reason to vote! We have become so corrupt that we might as well be a third Country, debt and all...
