It's the morning of Friday, January 20, 2017, and it's Inauguration Day. Donald John Trump Sr. has his hand on a Bible, and America looks on, agape, as he swears to "preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States."
How we got to this point isn't important. The question now is, what the [expletive] is about to happen?
To come up with even the vaguest answer, we have to look back at history. Because as British TV science guy James Burke once said, "Why should we look to the past in order to prepare for the future? Because there is nowhere else to look." If that sounds a little ominous, that's because we're talking about the presidential administration of the "You're fired" guy from TV.
University of Virginia historian Brian Balogh was game to talk to us about whether a Trump presidency is really the doomsday scenario it sounds like. Why should you listen to Balogh? Well, for one thing he's an expert in 20th-century American politics, and hosts a pretty popular radio show about history called Backstory With the American History Guys. And when I emailed him to set up an interview, he made a prediction about Trump that has already come true.
In an email on Friday, Balogh wrote that while the Donald's tendency to shoot his mouth off seemed to be working for him so far, "Trump would soon use it on a person or organization that the broad majority of the public admires, respects, [or] pities, and it would work against Trump."
The very next day, Trump went off the rails, disparaging Senator John McCain's war record during a speech at a Republican candidates forum in Iowa. "He's a war hero 'cause he was captured," Trump said of the former POW....

The Vietnamese made the offer in hopes of pleasing his father, IIRC. The “commander of the prisoners” didn’t interfere with the decision nor order him to refuse the offer... the choice to refuse was his.
Or Pee-Wee Herman, any of the “Duck Dynasty” or “Container Wars” people, or a random name from the Des Moines phonebook.
He might do some good for the country but really the republic is lost.

Also What exactly have politicans or government ever done in the last 120 years to help America and Americans? nothing all they've done is hurt America and Americans. It's in spite of government interference and politicians’ interference that the private sector advances technology .And even with exponential advancement in technology in the private business sector the American dream is fading( as example see how the price of a house is becoming out of reach when 20 years ago it was definitely within reach of anyone). government and the media and politicians are the problem. and you think a businessman will be trouble or worse? laughable.
I think it would be a disaster of epic proportions.

Browsing the leftist boards I’m already seeing threads of people threatening to leave the country if he’s elected...others saying that because he’s not part of “the system” he will expose their favorite conspiracy they think the government is involved in, illuminati/grey aliens/reptilians/whatever, even some threads saying they would just as soon have Trump for Prez because it would make the news more interesting, one with a subheading “In that case go Trump/Palin the news should be really entertaining” with the usual following milf comments.
If I were scouting an enemy camp, I’d say they were in low morale and disarray, with their hard core units forming up around Bernie Sanders.

I was one of the ones warning about Arnold back then.
Arnold was the front man for a very ambitious cabal of RINO money people and kingmakers called The New Majority:

What united them in addition to having big money was their pronounced dislike of conservatives. Grassroots conservatives were for Tom McClintock, the conservative-hating ‘moderates’ were pushing their sock puppet Arnold.
Trump is no Arnold. He may not be to everyone’s liking but he isn’t going to be run by a group behind the scenes that is promoting him.
