Response : Bush never said Iraq bought uranium from Niger in his State of the Union speech. He said the UK had intel indicating Iraq sought to acquire uranium from Africa... and they do- multiple sources of it. And, in spite of the liberal stink on the issue, as it turns out, Niger does indeed look like it was at the epicenter of a major cross-border trade in under-the-table uranium, not just with Iraq, but with at least five other nations, among them North Korea and Libya:
