Is my understanding correct. That if 30 GOP supported someone other than Boehner, say 28 went to Boehner, but all Democrats supported a single Senator, say Reid, that Reid would become speaker of the house? So it is the fear of a Dummy taking control that is the only reason Boehner is supported?
