Quite a few assumed that I was denigrating the intelligence of FReeperdom by that phrasing. In hindsight, it was indeed poorly worded, since my intent could have been better expressed like this:
Let me ask the cognoscenti (a polysyllabic synonym for FReepers) here for their thoughts on...
By the way, Blueflag, whom I wrongly accused took it all quite well and we patched things up in FReepmail.
No problem on my end. I don’t always use a sarcasm tag myself, I just assume people will know I’m being sarcastic. But when you don’t hear someone’s voice it’s easier to miss.
