My point is that reducing our level of taxation and spending won’t make a dent in the damage that Obama and his ilk are inflicting on the country. Cutting taxes and spending is a theme that I hear endlessly repeated by talking heads (I won’t include you) as a cure-all for every economic ill.

What we are really suffering from is government regulation that will survive long past Obama leaving office. These regulations are very often written by bureaucrats who fully intend them to harm the economy.

I had a neighbor who is/was a university professor (political science). He would periodically go on sabbatical during which he would go to work for one the federal agencies. The BLM in his case. My neighbor is a self described radical, and when was working at the BLM he would write regulations designed to promote the radical agenda. He’s just one of many activists who are doing this.

We can fool around with tax policy all we want. Unless and until many of these federal agencies are eliminated radicals like Obama will continue to rule our lives no matter who is elected President or who controls Congress.
