Donald Trump has done many things to support veterans. One example from the 1980s is that he launched a commission and funded the New York City Vietnam Veterans Memorial Plaza.
But the biggest sign of his sincerity is that he is putting his own personal fortune at risk, he’s putting his own money on the line for his country and forgoing hundreds of millions that he could have instead. Such acts show more than anything how sincere he is.
That is fantastic, and I do not doubt his sincerity in supporting veterans. This is one areas where he has actions to support his words. But that is only one area, and isn't one of the areas where I have questions about his "evolving" positions. So while that is a big point in his favor, it is not sufficient to dispel other concerns I have.

I have no doubt that Donald is sincere about wanting to be president. My doubts and concerns are about what he will actually do if he becomes president. He is saying things conservatives like to hear right now, but much of his adult life he has supported and espoused positions that are in direct opposition to conservative principles. He may be sincere, but there is nothing tangible to demonstrate his changes are real and enduring. He is asking us to take him on faith, and that is a risk I am not sure I can take.
