PA Coal: Rush decides everything.....and I have it on good authority that he never listens to his guest hosts. They have some metrics, based on call volume, ad response...but that’s it.
Now, he no doubt has seen what Erick has been up to. It’ll be interesting to see.

Rush. Just Do It! Blackball this idiot. This blowhard does you, your listening audience and the conservative movement a disservice.

No need to make a scene. The phone just won't ring. Years ago, Rush's main sub was "B-1" Bob Dornan. He was serviceable, but certainly no Rush. At some point I remember him claiming he was getting more calls or something when he was subbing, some kind of bragging. We don't here Dornan on the Rush Limbaugh Show anymore.
Mark Steyn, on the other hand, is always amusingly self-effacing (the Canadian part of him), and he never pretends it is his show, even though for many of us, he is on the same level.
I turn off the radio if Marc Davis comes on. Texas can send us better.

Interesting. Going back 20 years or more, I've often thought it curious that Rush -- contrary to the practice of other radiotalkers -- almost never thanks his guest hosts or even acknowledges them.
(Maybe Rush's habit may seem a bit ingracious. But then, who am I to tell him how to succeed in business?)
