She considers herself a feminist. And a Muslim. How is that even possible? One negates the other. You either buy into all that Mohammad said and taught, and if you do you believe in the low status of women and their husbands right to beat them and marry up to 4 women at a time. You believe that paradise for the male is basically an orgy for the guy. Not really sure what a Muslim woman has to look forward to. If you are a feminist you believe in equal rights and value of women as a starting point. You are outraged by the abuse of women. But I don't get the impression this feminist is bothered too much by the brutalities of Muslim men. She is so busy denying there is a problem with Islam.
Of course, she is in good company. The majority of feminists in academia are in denial as well.
