This makes sense. The entire US Mideast policy has been incomprehensible for the past several years. The power structure thinks the average citizen is too dense to notice. People sense something is off, but they’re too numb by economic troubles and terrible news stories 24/7 to even care.
We work against Iran in Syria and Yemen yet conclude a nuke deal with them.

But Rush Limbaugh did make comments last Monday to the effect that the GOP wanted those Iran sanctions lifted as badly as Obama. Rush said its expected Iran will spend some of its 150 billion dollars in frozen assets on things other than terror and destruction. They will repair and upgrade their civil aviation fleet to benefit Boeing.
The clear implication of those comments is that business interests lobbied our political leaders to get sanctions lifted which would only be enabled by a nuclear weapons deal with the Iranian regime.
