None of the folks whose ancestors were slaves would be alive today if not for slavery. If left in Africa, there would have been a break in the lineage as couples would have never met there. Or perhaps not even survived to procreate.
They all owe descendants of slave holders a gift for the fact that they were ever born.
How about the African that sold other African into slavery? Do they owe reparations?
