You think 1865 was a bloody year for America?
I don’t know. There are many people who would willingly comply. I would certainly have to pray about it. On the one hand, I’m obliged to render unto Caesar. On the other, I believe I have a legitimate, God-given right of self defense.
The sad thing is we all know the Supreme Court of the United States is a rogue agency that is unconstitutionally and immorally amending the US Constitution. Every last judge that voted—an appropriate term—for gay marriage and Obamacare should be impeached for violating their oath of office. They swear to uphold the US Constitution, but they do anything but.
I agree. If you want to touch off CWII just let the SCOTUS try to re-interpret the 2nd Ammendment. I can’t speak for the North but the South is, was and always will be a gun culture and we will go berserk down here. Nobody wants to see that happen. Nobody down here is going to register a gun much less give it up.
I don’t think they would be stupid enough to go door to door and collect guns. What they would do instead is ban ammunition.
SCOTUS, by itself, cannot repeal an Amendment.
The Supreme Court cannot repeal amendments. Do people know civics anymore?
Nothing would happen. The people in the government now are so powerful, so criminal, so determined to crush any opposition, they would do it with weapons that no ordinary person in this country could ever hope to own.
It is functionally a tyrannocracy far more powerful then even the Communist slave states and brooks no opposition. Seen anyone thrown out of the government lately for going after Tea Party activists, or elected Representatives?
The bureaucracy now plans to wipe out any possibility of armed resistance which was considered a Right by the Revolutionaries. The Judges are bureaucrats: once appointed, they never go away - and anyone who tries to make them go away because of their acts will immediately find themselves up against a wall of grim, armed men.
The government has expanded and ossified into an organized gang that regards the citizenry as their plantation workers, good only insofar as they can produce wealth to be confiscated. This is simply Feudalism of a form and supremacy unseen in human history.
The Second Amendment was written to prevent exactly that. It is all but extinct. The next step by the Bureaucracy will be to permanently extinguish even that small glimmer of hope, and it will be done with the threat of force so horrific that no man with a peashooter would consider opposing.
The Democrats have chipped away at the Bill of Rights, little by little. Democrats pass almost all the laws that result in criminal trials and that increase incarcerations. While Democrats “Cry Out” that the Republicans are over controlling, the Democrats are the main reason why we have poverty, increased prison populations, more felons, and more crime.
Freedom of speech? Not unless you want to get sued or have the IRA Audit you
Right to assembly? Not unless you can pay for the public services to clean up afterwards
Freedom of the press? This one can get you in so much hot water today that it’s best not to publish anything unless it’s Pro-gay marriage, Pro-abortion, and Anti Christina
Freedom of Religion? Only if you’re a gay minister or a Muslim
Militia? Or, they are all nut cases says the Left (The same ones who claim to be liberals like the liberals of the revolution)
Right to bear arms? Only if you’re the police, then they condemn the police (After all the Democrat candidates run on increases police forces)
The real nutcases are the democrats who hate everything this country used to stand for, and they hate that constitution unless they find a loophole in it to exploit their cause
Gun owners are singular. You’d have to unite into groups to be able to defend our rights and the Constitution. I’m not sure how our military would obey attacking Americans. We’re not some Third World country where the military are just like police. I guess it would depend on how oath keepers they are.
Repeal? They never created it. We did and we will defend that right.
You give the lying anti-American vermin too much credit by assuming they have no idea. The chaos is what they long for since they hate this Nation as founded. With the blackmailable pirate Roberts on the court, they have the number they need to ruin the Constitution.
SCOTUS can’t repeal anything in the Constitution. Any repeal would have to take place through a Constitutional Convention.
Just an aside, when was the last time a justice was assassinated?

HOW MUCH TROUBLE ARE WE IN? CAN YOU SAY EXISTENTIAL??
While there is a lot of competition out there, I believe this one rates as dumbest headline of the day.
Shazamm! Never knew that SCOTUS could repeal the BOR!
To quote Andrew Jackson, “The justices have made their decision. Now let them enforce it.”
..As opposed to the Pro-oppression (Leftist) side of the aisle .
When I say Im getting real close to not giving a flying fornication (pardon the bad language) of what the Extreme Court says about the disposition of our God-given and Constitutionally affirmed Civil-Rights. The founding father recognized that its the people who make the ultimate decisions on these matters, and at some point the People are going to reply the phrase screw-you (or some variation thereof) to the Extreme Court and that will be it for their power base.
If they keep on rewriting the rule of law to suit the passions of the present day without regard to the foundational principles that made this country the greatest in the world, they will have written themselves off as irrelevant and we the people will simple ignore their edicts.
Agreed. The Second Amendment will not be "repealed" by redefining words in the Supreme Court. That power grab could trigger a second Civil War, but it could not revoke our God-given individual right to keep and bear arms. I hope we will be able to avoid or at least delay that bloodshed, but liberals seem eager to fight against free Americans.
We have inherent human rights that are spelled out in the Constitution’s Bill of Rights. The Bill of Rights does not grant our rights, it lists them. No judge or court has the legitimate power to deny us those rights. Any attempt to do so will be met with violence.
I recall a “dynamic raid” to enforce gun control some time in 1993.
Between the direct incident and subsequent 1995 retaliation, 244 died and 640 injured.
