The more I learn about the way they are running the Navy, the more disgusted an embarrassed I become to have had any association with it.
The thing that pushed me over the edge was the PBS special called “Carrier” that described life on the USS Nimitz. It floored me. What a bunch of whiny, self-indulgent, wimps on that vessel. I may have felt homesick or whatever, but I wasn’t going to shed tears in front of anyone, but in the program it was full of people with teary eyes. I couldn’t believe it.
I'm feeling the same way about the Air Force. They didn't call 'em the Chair Force for no reason, even when I was in, but dang, they've gone 'round the bend.
