I often wonder when the “urban youth” will figure out the automatic braking systems. Shove a shopping cart in front of a newer car with automatic breaking and it will stop for criminals as well as emergencies.

I was followed by what appeared to be a Honda Civic running lights and “wig-wags” on the Southwest Freeway in Houston. I knew quite well that neither Houston PD or the Harris County Sheriffs Office had such vehicles in their equipment roster. I kept driving, called the dispatcher, and got transferred to Fort Bend Sheriffs Office (Milton Wright was a friend from politics). My eventual destination was the Fluor office in Sugar Land, where Fort Bend deputies and Sugar Land were waiting for the fake cop.
