My Brother still has the 32 Ford 5 Window Deuce Coupe he bought when he was a Teenager. He got the rolling Chassis for $325.

He put in a 283 Chevy Engine, Four Speed Close Ratio Transmission and a .456 Positraction Rear End.

Did all the work by himself. Never got it repainted though. Drag Raced it a few times, drove it around town for a while and put it in the Garage.

Fifty Years Later, it’s still there.

Was once - will be again. I wanted a runner not an museum piece and I got tired of replacing transmissions (they’re getting hard to find!) so I’m converting it to an automatic transmission.

Actually, I like ‘em all. I have a soft spot for old iron.

“I grew up on Massey Ferguson and will take one over a Deere any day.”

I’ve got a few hours on MFs. They are good solid machines. Got a soft spot for old IH and Case too. One of the best tractors I ever drove was a Case 930 propane burner. I don’t think there was a part on it you could break with a four pound hammer.

“Give me a vintage Cub Cadet with direct gear drive.”

You’re not getting mine. I have a 26hp Deere that is a great mower. If I actually want to pull a lawn roller or road drag the 12hp Cub is used.

I made a few photos of the john deere but havent processed them as yet.

I just replaced my recently defunct MAC...and have updated all my software...and simply havent gotten caught up with anything yet.

there isnt a spot on the tractor that isnt 100 percent rust... except for the rubber...and much of it has “reconfigured” itself...

If Id been looking for a batch of old vehicle to photograph I could never have found this treasure trove.

I know a guy who has a field full of vehicles (acres), many from the 30s and 40s and 50s..He has been collecting them for years, most in whatever state they came off the trailer. You’d have a literal field day there.

Old Cubs aren’t exactly plentiful.

No worries about me having sights on any. I live in the burbs. It’s come out cheaper over the long haul to pay a guy to buzz the yard every couple of weeks.

I think Dad still has the remnants of that old Cub Cadet. It was built like a tank.

Thanks. It’s a blast to bomb around in - turns heads wherever I go. Kids especially love it. Every time I get it out I invariably end up giving another neighborhood kid a ride. I like to think of it as encouraging another generation of gearheads.

My other ‘37 is still in the garage on blocks. It has a built 350 that came out of a Z28, a 5-spd, indy-style IFS, and a Jag rear. Right now I’m working on the sheet metal - I’ve hinged the bed and added hydraulics so that it is a tilt bed. And I’m joining the front clip so that it will be a tilt hood as well.
