The people I know who are enamored of him are middle aged Christian evangelical married women friends. They love Carson.
How about he isn’t a Senator. Or he is black. Or maybe they just like him.
[Carsons numbers went up when he called out Islam for the evil that it is. He should greatly admired.]
Apparently CARSON doesn’t mind that these same people are pouring over our Southern border without restraint.
I call that being double-minded.
Those of us “in the know” understand that Cruz is not a Washington insider, but to the LIV he is just another Washington elected official hack. The MSM will do everything in it’s power to keep that view going.
We really, really need a third party.
Voting for someone because of their ethnicity or gender is what LIVs do.

Thank you. My point exactly. And the track record speaks volumes....
Don’t ask me.
I’m for Cruz.
[The people I know who are enamored of him are middle aged Christian evangelical married women friends. They love Carson.]
Now that you know the truth about CARSON, it is your responsibility to set them straight with the facts.
Voting for someone because they aren't "boring" is also what LIVs do.
Ted Cruz is still my first choice.
Having stated that, I should also say that I will be surprised if we even have elections in 2016. The state of the world is deteriorating rapidly and this nation is both divided and totally unprepared to handle much else.
God is still pretty much being ignored by huge numbers of people. ;-(
I’m sick to death of people flapping their gums about how the GOP has betrayed conservatives only to have them turn around and demand that I do it too.
They’re either going to have to learn to lose gracefully or try harder to be constitutional conservatives. as a constitutional conservative, the idea of losing doesn’t scare me a bit. We haven’t won since Reagan anyway.
Charisma and politics count. I know it seems lightweight and funny but men don’t follow just a great commander in battle who knows tactics they also need to follow someone who inspires them. There is a difference between a technocrat and a leader that is not quantifiable.
Do you have a theory about how either of those tickets could win 270 EVs?
Cruz vs. Hillary on the issues, I think a majority of the people in at least 270 EV states are closer to Cruz.
If issues decided the elections, we wouldn't be in this mess.

Click on the link at the bottom of the graphic. It will take you to the website, which shows all of the major candidates on the issues.
I think a great deal of it is that Carson is a number two choice after Trump. From people who don’t want a politician.
Marie Antoinette is correct about the heart of Carson’s support. Huckabee, Santorum, and Jindal have tried to capture the same core of supporters.
I praised him when he "shut down the government" even though we know that it was not him that did it, and when he told McConnell off on the senate floor, but he cannot seem to get even a handful of senators to go along with him on things - how would that work out if he was president? He does have a way of making you think he is talking down to you.
I disagree totally with his H1B stance - yes, we do have good STEM workers but they cannot work as cheaply as the H1B's and give the employers the benefits that come from hiring the non-Americans.
And, as a great grandmother, I have a real problem with his "shucks, I'm just a family man" when the nanny is the one who cares for his children. His wife is his main fundraiser and every bit as ambitious in her field as he is in his. I suspect there will be some payback due the donors if he is elected.
I may be wrong, but I started out as a Cruz supporter but have changed my mind over the course of this campaign.
Carson is getting a lot of support from middle class evangelicals. He is a pleasant speaking person, not afraid to speak his mind, but humble.
Trump is the opposite, but his credentials are shaping up into a good policy.
That's true.
You lost me there...
