“But money raised for Obama from white liberals was ok, right?”

My thoughts, exactly. Hypocrites.

I don’t believe a single conservative in America suffers from white guilt much less Carson supporters. What nonsense!

Ok, now that I have had time to re read some things, this is my take on Carson:

What if he wants to be Senator? What if he doesn't have ‘name recognition’? What if he is trying to just plain and simply knock Trump out? (The pacs getting together would explain that)so my other thought is this: why would he go thru this to get to POTUS if all he wanted was to be a Senator? Does he not think he can win? Which if he does get the nomination, Hillary will make mince meat out of him...if she knows what we are finding out about Carson, no matter how horrible her record is, doesn't matter, he won't stand a chance in heck of beating her....so thoughts?

This is 100% correct. John Phillip Sousa IV, the man who will likely make $10 MILLION off Carson's candidacy through his 2016Committee (formerly RunBenRun.com) also made $2.2 million raising money for Joe Arpaio's re-election campaign, while only running 2 ads that cost him $150,000 in a race Arpaio won by double-digits. Sousa is a shyster, but a damn smart one. But Carson was NEVER expected to get this far, and Sousa, Eberle and Co. have won the lottery.

Exactly and so many here missed that because they never bothered to go to the link because it didn't seem proper enough for them.

My question is what is Carson's culpability in all this? What were his motives in latching onto these questionable characters? It seems ultimately very devious, especially for someone of such pious faith, especially if Carson expected to eliminated early on. If he did, then this means he was out to make a quick buck, get some further name recognition, and take lots of money from not only the rich but the less rich church types all around. Money does it every time.

Thanks for your post, it really put a lot more pieces into the puzzle for me.

I very much resonate with the taking Trump out, though he was into this over a year ago, long before Trump came on the scene. I can see the establishment GOP leaping on him right after the Prayer Breakfast, their answer to Obama and the unending cries of racism.

Do you realize what you are saying by asking "does he not think he can win?" That puts him right there as an establishment plant. Remember that article in Conservative Treehouse, the hummingbird strategy? To get carson and rubio up in numbers like trump has, and both of them, in concert, taking out Trump in tandem. That would fit this scenario well. Clear the path for Jeb. Only Rubio is nowhere to be seen right now.

Further, Carson strikes me as a buttoned up establishment type, from his religion to his profession, and would probably feel very at home with those elites.

It is a little clearer now, but I would truly like to understand it all much more accurately.

The people on the right want to WIN! Trump is a winner. When purity is not possible, winning is the next best thing (to any thinking person). I believe all conservatives are thinking people, and by any standard, Fiorina is neither ideologically pure, nor a winner. She couldn’t even beat Boxer; she got trounced by that lightweight.

Yeppers, I agree. This time purity has to give way for victory, and we aren't electing Pastor in Chief. As far as Fiorina, should Trump ever have to dispose of her, though I can't imagine the scenario, he has a whole stable of Boxer ads waiting to be aired. Some of them were brutal and they certainly did the job.

He’s proven it to my family. Long ago. Nevermind a nurse friend of ours. He is the genuine article. I will defend his honor to the end.

Reads like someone is worried that Ben Carson is making headway in this race. Gotta figure out some way to tear him down in the Republican Primary voters’ eyes.

I can’t get past his cult religion that so many “evangelicals” are swooning over.

Nasty opnion or not, he’s just a melanistic Mitt Romney.

Nice guy, maybe, but won’t have my vote.

What’s with cycling this through “Darth News”, when the article is from another site?

Here’s the correct link:

No, it is not just a Democrat phenomenon.

Lots and lots of Freepers alone jump on the Powell/Rice/Cain/Carson bandwagon at the drop of a hat—however RINO/liberal their positions. And then they brag about it as proof that they and conservatives are not racist.

Actually, we know Carson is very much for amnesty.

It doesn’t surprise me at all that the same hucksters behind Cain are behind Carson.

I see now it is actually a reprinted VDare article. Still good and relevant info, but is VDare still banned at FR?

Why not just run Senate, then?

IMO Carson’s running as a vanity candidate at the behest of both the GOPe and the hucksters who are making money off him.

He gets to preen, the GOPe gets to split off a misguided portion of the conservative vote, and his associates rake in the dough.

I don't know anyone supporting Ben Carson who is driven by white guilt. White guilt is a DemocRAT phenomenon.

Alaska Erik has wisdom in his comments. No white guilt here, and I am supporting Ben Carson. I wonder if there is any black guilt and they help white candidates. Spin on the news, is nothing new.

You guys make me curious. When you claim to support Carson, is it with money or just lip service? How about FR - do you support it?

Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:

I prefer Cruz and my money goes to his campaign, hence the Cruz link. If you like someone else, donate to him/her (find your own link to do it) and if you use FR and don't donate, then please don't complain about the welfare leeches or those who have Obama Phones because, functionally, you are no different.....

GO CRUZ!! Keep it up Trump!!

Donate to Cruz

Donate to FR

The amounts quoted in this piece are about what Trump can get from searching the seats in his private jet. Carson is getting a free ride on some issues that will drive people away like warmed over amnesty. The media downplays this but when Trump starts pointed it out Ben Carson’s support dries up. No matter what anybody says Trump is on top because he wants to slam the door shut and that is what this whole movement is about.

I don’t think it is white guilt as much as it is Christian conservatives supporting an ostensibly conservative Christian candidate who is also black. We’ve seen a woman who was black (Rice), a general who was black (Powell), a business man who was black (Cain), and now a soft spoken, “Christian” brain surgeon who is black. Eventually we can find the right kind of black person that everyone will support. Our own version of the magic Negro.

The *only* reason that Carson has any support is because of Trump. If Trump was not in the race, Carson would be long gone and Jeb would be in the driver’s seat.
