I love my 38 +P s & w, stainless, made in America. But my fun gun is my Makarov, a Chinese officer's version. When I talk to guys at the gun store, they call it commie trash. It has only 27 parts, less parts than any other gun including my s & w (I think that one has 40+ parts. It's all heavy steel excepting the Bakelite plastic grip. Has been featured in countless Hollywood films as the bad guy's weapon of choice. Off the top of my head I remember it in Red Corner with Richard Gere, and Die Hard.

The CZ82 is superior: better trigger and mags hold 12. The pistol had a hammer safety system where to decock you pull the trigger holding the hammer then let the trigger out and the hammer will not hit the firing pin. Had ambidextrous features which were ahead of their time. I’ve bought several and distributed them to family members for home defense/personal protection. The 9 x 18 round is not to be sneezed at, especially the Silver Bear hollow points.
