Let’s do reparations. Take away all food stamps, obamacare, welfare, obamaphones, etc. Then give all black families 40 acres and a mule and tell them to go support themselves with it.

Well, I’m disqualified from this thread because I had a
peanut butter, banana & honey on toast this morning. (A
black guy making an effort formulated a lot of stuff with
peanuts.) - Anyway, my great great grandfather fought as a
Rebel at Shiloh; told my grandmother when she asked that
Shiloh was, “Lord, Lord, Izora, Shiloh was the biggest
mess I’ve ever seen in my life, so much confusion I
couldn’t tell if I killed anybody or not - but can’t see
how I could have kept from it!” - He was a Southern farmer,
dirt poor, fighting Yankees because ya’ll were down here!
I did have one fifth or sixth great grandfather who kept a
few slaves down in Georgia Territory back in the 1700’s.
His son married a Cherokee woman, his mother had a
case of conniption vapors and he & his wife departed on
a barge going up the TN River (after his daddy gave him
his inheritance in gold), disembarked at Perryville, TN,
and that’s how I ended up in Tennessee with my name
besmirched eternally for having Indian blood AND having
ancestors who kept slaves.

Italians and Jews only arrived in large numbers about 40 years after all slaves were freed.
For every Irish immigrant that owned a slave, probably about twenty died trying to free the slaves.
For every German immigrant that owned a slave, probably about one hundred died trying to free the slaves.
I was the first of my family to go south of the Mason-Dixon line, in 1975.

My parents left Germany between World Wars I&II and arrived in the US with what little they could carry. Neither one ever received a college education. They both worked and saved enough to buy a house for themselves and their four children. We were all college educated post high school. In five years I earned two engineering degrees and maintained a 3.48/4.00 GPA, (never less then a B). I payed my own way with student loans which were re-payed in full in two years.
Tell that ignorant professor to stick reparations in her ear. The United States is the land of opportunity and if you get off your dead ass and work hard you can rise as far as your talents will take you.

Good for y’all. My ancestors have been here for hundreds of years. Two came over on the Mayflower and one was Indian so they may have met them. : ) I have a double cousin who does not want to hear anything about our Cherokee heritage. He might as well accept it since it can not be changed. Just like these kooks wanting everything connected to Wilson, our Confederate flag, Stone Mountain, etc removed. That junk only shows how dumb they really are. It does not change a thing.
