My daughter has started dating a vegan SJW at her college....

Hope that he invites her to a full bore vegan Thanksgiving meal. It will turn her right around.

Long ago a gf invited me to celebrate Thanksgiving with her friends in the country. After a long slow drive in blinding snow we arrived at the cabin. Entering, my nose told me it was not going to be a traditional TG meal. Found the friends were still full bore insane vegans from school days. Sure enough, tofu turkey, two kinds of plain boiled squash and plain mashed turnips with a gray rye crust sour cherry pie ended the meal. Nasty, nasty, nasty. Had to sneak out in the snow to grab left over road trip snacks that night.

Long ago, I had a girlfriend who was a 7th Day Adventist, as was the rest of her family. Vegetarians (vegan? dunno if the term had been invented yet) all.

Her Mom was the only person that I've eaten with, who could make tofu taste good. After cooking with it for so long, I guess she'd finally figured it out.

Plain boiled squash and mashed turnips, though? I'll pass.

My husband went vegan for about 3 years after his doctor wanted to put him on meds for high cholesterol abd he’s lactor intolerant.

He started eating meat after he was diagnosed with cancer. He was just feeling too tired, and his cholesterol has stayed liw.

We know how to cook yummy vegan meals. However, it’s just annoying the ones that feel sorry for the animals.
