Everyone hates his proposal but the people. The uni-party, all the other politicians. Nobody else is supporting a common sense "pause" because they are puppets to their donors. It's a pretty remarkable thing. Watch his poll numbers go up.
He's brilliantly boxed everyone in. If you don't support the Muslim invasion, then you can't vote for anyone but Trump. Everyone is against his proposal even Cruz. He's in his own lane because he's not bought and paid for.

And he comes Trump again, cutting to the issue no politician will touch, but needs to be confronted. Immediately.
This should also suck all the oxygen out of the room for media time. If any other candidate gets media time, it will be about Trump.

You got it wrong. Not coming for Muslims but keeping them out. A world of difference. And this is because the Muslims are coming for us. They want to kill all non-believers. Why should we admit any Muslims? I see no gain for admitting ISIS.
Trump also knows that more ISIS attacks are coming in the months ahead. Terrible to say but coming.

Trump is flanking Cruz to the right, which is helping Cruz.
Cruz now looks moderate and he has governing experience. He’s already stood up to Washington.

Not a realistic statement for many reasons. We cannot fully close all immigration. It ain’t gonna happen.
Also, this reminds me of a quote from a M.A.S.H. character years ago who said, “My family has been having problems with immigrants since we first came to this country.”

You cannot constitutionally say that immigrants from hypothetical country “A” cannot be Muslims while allowing others from that country in. It would have to be a situation where you say “none” from country “A” can immigrate.
Trying to eliminate a specific religious affliation while allowing others is not going to fly. Mr. Trump knows this and is just playing the crowds for fools. Plus, it is a terrible precident to set.
Also, we are NEVER going to be able to say “zero” immigrants from anywhere....ain’t gonna happen for many reasons. Mr. Trump’s rhetoric is over-the-top and has no realism in it. However, it gets the naïve to buy in.
