So my new friend Bob now says that the money-losing electric cars like the Chevy Volt, Chevy Bolt and Cadillac ELR are adding up to $40,000 in cost to conventionally-powered SUVs so that GM can absorb the losses! What a poor way to run a company. It is baffling that there has not been more criticism for the EV folly which is seeing wealthy buyers of Chevy Volts and Cadillac ELRs getting a taxpayer supplied federal credit of $7,500 each while buyers of other GM vehicles are paying thousands of dollars more to make up for the losses incurred by GM in building the electric losers. So, is there any hope in ending this madness, Bob?Just another means of redistributing wealth.

I wondered too, tis true, Volt > Bolt = Dolt v.2
Article at link says GM’s calling this a Tesla Killer.

Don’t tell that to liberals, those idiots all think there are little elves behind the wall sockets running on treadmills generating electricity.

I took a BMW i3 on an overnight test drive a few months back.It was quite similar in most ways to my current BMW so the only real difference was the drive train.I did the test drive completely out of curiosity... never had the slightest intention of buying one.
I was not *at all* impressed.

Where I live in S. California they are all over the place, but I like the idea of a Hybrid over an All Electric. How much is electricity in your area? In Eastern Massachusetts it's 22 cents/kWh in winter and 25 cents in summer. Also, electric cars don't like extreme weather because heaters, defrosters and A/C use a lot of power as well as the obvious fact that batteries don't like cold weather.

Yep, not a good idea where they actually have a Winter. LOL
Don’t know the Electricity Rates, my Bill is never over $50 a Month.
