30+ ranches were flooded out in these parts and bought by the feds. The Hammonds are the last ones standing. They’ve sold their cattle. In 2010, a pilot’s license was revoked by the FAA, around the time of the initial indictment.
Convicted of arson in a plea deal, they’ve now been two-timed. Supposedly legal, by there are courts, e.g., Pennsylvania’s supreme, that disagree.
So, for water, minerals, rare earths, natgas, gold, arsenic, whoknowswhat: these people have been in the cross-hairs for quite awhile.
Something is being set up. Perhaps Weyden & DeFazio stand to get major $$$ for their ‘influence.’
I don’t support the action in the hinterland there, but had that not happened, I would not have started to research this.

BLM wants the land. They even started illegally constructing fences around the Hammonds’ watering holes and drained one, in the lead up to this.
The federal government has more than demonstrated a retaliatory animus toward these men.
